ABOUT THE TEAM
 

Stanwix Football Club are a local community club, founded in 1994, to give local kids the opportunity to play and enjoy football. We are now a well established club with a growing reputation around the city, we have ten teams competing in the Longhorn Youth League, from under 7's to under 18's, with more than 160 boys and girls from all around Carlisle taking part. Last season we have won our first league cup at Brunton Park with our Under 11's side.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
